Our kits include absolutely everything you need to build a beautiful Cedar Strip Canoe with the exception of some 2x4´s for the strong back and 5/8" particle board for the stations.

Our kits include:

• CanoeCraft
• Full Size Building Plans
• Full length Bead & Cove Select Western Red Cedar Strips.
• 2-1/2 Gallons of EAST System Epoxy & mini pumps.(qty depends on the design)
• 11 or 12 yards of 6 oz. X 60" Fiberglass Cloth (rolled on a tube.)
• 1 Quart of Cabosil Epoxy Thickener
• 4 White Ash Gunwale Blanks with Stainless Steel Screws & wood plugs.
• 2 pcs 4´ long 3/8" Brass Stem band with cove back, with brass mounting screws.
• 1 Brass Eye Bolt
• Ash or Cherry Decks
• Ash Bootlace or Webbed seats, one small, one large, with hanging kit.
• Deluxe Dished Yoke in White Ash or Cherry with hardware mounting kit.
• 2 cans Sikkens ClearVarnish U/V
• 4 pcs each of 80, 120, 180, 240 ALO lubricated sandpaper 9 X 11 sheets.
• 12 pcs of 1/4" x 48" White Ash to laminate stems.
• 1 pound of Dural Plastic Resin glue with 2 syringes to apply glue (for strips.)
• 6 pairs of latex gloves.
• 1 7" metal roller tray & handle.
• 5 epoxy resistent low pile foam rollers.
• 5 disposable brushes for epoxy.
• 1 plastic squeeges for applying epoxy.
• 1 Purdy Marine Varnish Brush 2".

Epoxy Substitutions:

Substitute East System for West System
(2 Gallons with 207 hardener.)

Substitute East System for MAS Epoxy
(2-1/4 Gallons with no blush slow hardener.)
We can reduce any of the items(eg. you already have the plans) in the kit that you may already have, please call or e-mail for reduction amounts.

There are many options available to customize your canoe for example: Change the seats from Ash Bootlace to Cherry Cane. Change 4 Ash Gunwale blanks to 2 Cherry Outwale blanks, and 2 scuppered Ash Inwale blanks, etc.. For more information on customizing refer to our Canoe Building Materials Page
