HEY GUYS!!
I JUST BOUGHT A 1973 SILVERLINE BOAT AND WHEN I RIPPED OUT THE SEATS I REALIZED THE FLOOR HAS BEEN ROTTED OUT. SOMEONE TOLD ME TO USE A PRODUCT CALLED "POLYFOAM", BUT I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND IT. I FOUND "GREAT STUFF POLYURATHANE FOAM" WILL THAT WORK AS WELL AND ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!
THANX,

Bad news Lisa, you must have gotten the 30/30 (30 minutes or 30 miles) warranty with that boat.
The foam is only floatation in case you get a hole in the boat. The floor is plywood covered fiberglass.
To repair it you will have to rip up the old floor, and replace the plywood and the fiberglass. When you get the floor up you will probably find that the stringers and foam underneath also need to be replaced.
Have fun

I too have recently purchased a 1973 silverline boat. I don't see that my floors have begun rotting, but haven't gotten that far yet. I hope they aren't it sounds like that would be a lot of work to fix. I have a different problem, I cannot find a boat cover for this boat. It is a v-hull with an i/o motor and it is 16 feet long from along the the center line. I believe the transome sticks out another 2 1/2 feet off the boat. I don't know how wide it is but can measure this and find out. Does anyone know where I could find a reasonably priced cover? Or will a tarp work okay? Thanks for any help that can be provided.
