Hi. This is a great site. ?My motor mount pulled out the lag bolts (5/8x3"). The threads are all rust covered and not as deep as they should be. The wooden stringer below the aluminum doesn't go down to the hull. I drilled a few holes around the mounting hole and the wood looks fine. Any suggestions on a quality repair job that will last?? Thanks for an entertaing site in a world of blah blah blah. Mike, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I assume we are talking about an inboard. If the motor mount wood is solid, you should be able to pour epoxy in the bolt holes, let set for a few minutes, and put new bolts in.
If the wood around the bolt holes is punkey you may have to drill out the holes, fill with epoxy, let it harden, drill new holes and lag the bolts back in.
If you have room for bolts slightly longer or larger it would help.
Easiest way is get someone else to do it.
