I'm building a Redbird and it's ready to fiberglass (yeah:)) ... but I'm wondering about fiberglassing the bow and stern stems. Should I cut the fiberglass flush such that is does not lap over the stems or should the fiberglass lap over the stem pieces? Planning on installing brass stem bands to finnish the bow/stern. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Hi Fred,

Cut the glass so it will overlap the stem pieces by about 1/2". After you're done epoxying and sanding you wont be able to see the overlap.
