Hello Folks,

I'm looking for the best way to patch up a very small leak in a Kevlar canoe.

The kevlar has a tiny delamination between the inside deck of the boat and the 'floatation box/bulk head' (I'm not sure if it has a name). Water recently filled up the inside of the boat and after emptying it and letting it dry, I noticed small drips contiued to leak between the two layers.

I turned the boat over and emptied water out of the plug hole at the top. It's dried out for over a week now so there should not be any moisture left inside.

I don't want to pull the boat apart and re-glue it. Is there something that I can use to patch it up?

The canoe is a 17 foot Rockwood design Chippewa that I bought used from the Mountain Co-op rental program (both my wife and I have worked at MEC and she still keeps on part-time).

Any advice would be appreciated,

The easiest way would probably be to use a polyurethane adhesive like Sikaflex or 3M 5200 to calk the area.
