My husband and I recently purchased a 42' wooden chris craft conqueror. She is in repairable shape. I was just wondering how far up on the hull you can fiberglass and/or epoxy without hurting the integrity of the hull??
Also, does anyone know where we can get old mahogony for repairs on the boat??

These boats are not normally fiber glassed but we have had customers do the bottom to the waterline with fairly heavy material (1810 stitch mat ) and epoxy resin. This seems to have worked well so far. The wood is probably Honduras Mahogany, this is now generally replaced with Tropical ( Brazilian Mahogany ).
