Fibreglass Problems

When mixing up the last batch of epoxy for my canoe, I did not notice that the tin of hardener was almost empty. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Although when I pumped it, some came out, but not enough to harden the resin. The next morning when I came down to look at the canoe, there was a 3 foot section that was stick gooey. Four days later, it is still glooey. I have tried to scrape it off but it is a mess! Any advice as to what to do now? Help!

Scraping it off is about all you can do. You can use Lacquer Thinner, or better yet Acetone and rags to remove the residue. This tends to get pretty messy so mechanically remove all you can before starting with the solvents.
