Dimension of strips

I am planning to build a Bob's special 15' for my future wife. Long story short, I have boards of white pine with minimal amount of knots in it. They are 8' long, 10-12" wide and close to 2" thick. What would the best size for my strips? I already have the bead and cove bits because I almost completed a strip kayak.

Usual strip dimension is 1/4” x ¾”, you could use wider on the sides and bottom where it is relatively flat, but any wider than ¾” on the curves would not work

so I can go with 3/4 and go down to 1/2 exposed in tight area... maybe switch to leftover cedar I have...

Bob's special or Prospector 14 (we already have a Bell Prospector 16)? That would be her solo canoe.

3/4" all the way around would be good for a Prospector.
