I am about to glass the hull and am unclear exactly how you treat the stems with the cloth. Do you wrap it around so there is a double laye on them and then sand down the edges later? Any advise would be appreciated.

The easy way is to simply run the glass slightly beyond the ends and trim. If you allow the glass to gel so it is rubbery it will be easy to cut with a razor knife. To overlap you will need to run the first piece over the end and about 1” on the opposite side, less and it will try to straighten as soon as you stop working it. You will then need to overlap the opposite way, this gets a little tricky as working the top piece tends to disturb the bottom one. Two other problems are there will be a slight bump that will need sanding, and a possible shadow in the glass because of double layer.
Thanks, this is helpful and clear
