    Bob's Special

I would like to build a canoe and Bob's seems appropriate for my wife and I. It also appears to fit in my shop (the basement).

Is Bob's Special a good choice for lakes and ponds ? How is it for beginners?

    Any and all comments welcome.
    TIA
    Andrew

There is very little difference in the degree of skill required between stripper canoes, so the best approach is to build what suites your purposes. The Bob Special is a good stable canoe that suites one or two paddlers. If that is what you want, go for it.
