    Question weight of fiberglass

    I am building a stitch and glue canoe that is 15' 6" in lenght. The plans do not call for a fiberglassed hull. How much weight can I reasonably assume that a fully covered hull in 6 oz fabric will add to the overall weight of the boat. The finished boat with just epoxy is said to be about 45 lbs.

    Glass and epoxy on the outside only will add 6 to 8 lbs.
