    Plywood Sizes

Is okoume or any similar quality marine plywood available anywhere in sheets longer than 4x8? In 3mm or 4mm? What is opinion on the minimum thickness of marine plywood that could be scarfed for boat building purposes and what would be the ideal ratio? Thank you.

Okoume plywood is available in 5? x 10? and 4? x 10? but at a premium price so not stocked by many suppliers. No problem scarfing 3 or 4mm but you will need sharp tools so as not to chip the edges. We use an 11:1 ratio and glue with IFC G2 epoxy as it has good flexibility and is thick enough so that fillers are not necessary. We also use a soak coat to fill the end grain, then apply more epoxy and assemble after about 2 hours
