Canoe

Hello,

I'm a 19 year old fisherman and general ourdoorsman, I recently decided that I would like to build a canoe. I know my way around a shop and have built numerous gun safes and more trout nets than i care to count.

I would like this canoe to be stable and under 14', i take my younger cousins fishing often and most of the canoes i have been in are NOT fit for younger anglers. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me to a decent set of FREE plans or some advice on designing my own.

I would like to build a Strip style canoe with mainly pine and some cedar accents. i would like it to be 10' long at the most and seat 2 people.

You could make it a foot smaller or possibly put in a transom for a troler

If you're living in or near Toronto, go to Noah's and get yourself a copy of "Canoe Craft". This book will get your creative juices flowing for sure, it also has several canoe plans that you can build directly from the book. If Noah's is not convenient try Chapters or any other good book store.
